It is virtually impossible to fully express the impact Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart – universally known for his elegantly moving melodic lines, grounded on subtly sophisticated musical structures – has had on the identity of Vienna Acoustics’ home, Vienna.
When Peter Gansterer started to realize his very first vision of an elegant, slim, yet powerful, floorstanding speaker in 1990, the name was chosen with mindful consideration. In these early trials, Peter worked with local carpenters and had to be content with high grade, but still standard, drivers. Needless to say that these days laid the foundation of the numerous, exclusive „Designed and developed by Vienna Acoustics“ drivers, which were about to arise.
The Vienna Acoustics Mozart SE Signature represents decades of refinement in both acoustic engineering and timeless European design. Through long-standing partnerships with some of Europe's finest furniture manufacturers, Vienna Acoustics has continuously elevated the craftsmanship and aesthetics of its Mozart Series while introducing significant advancements in loudspeaker technology.
The result is a beautifully proportioned floorstanding loudspeaker that combines elegant styling with remarkable musical capabilities.
Much like its legendary namesake, the Mozart SE Signature refuses to be confined to a single musical genre. Whether reproducing the delicate intricacies of classical compositions, the improvisational energy of jazz, or the driving rhythms of contemporary music, these loudspeakers are designed to bring every performance to life.
Vienna Acoustics approaches loudspeaker development with an appreciation for music in all its forms, from traditional Austrian folk music to experimental jazz and everything in between. That versatility is reflected in the Mozart SE Signature's ability to deliver a natural, engaging, and emotionally expressive listening experience across an extraordinary range of recordings.
The Mozart SE Signature features Vienna Acoustics' exclusive hand-coated silk dome tweeter, engineered to reveal even the finest musical nuances with exceptional clarity and naturalness. Its smooth, extended response preserves delicate high-frequency detail without introducing harshness or listening fatigue, while allowing seamless integration into the midrange frequencies.
The 6-inch midrange driver incorporates Vienna Acoustics' proprietary X3P cone material, an advanced composite combining TPX thermoplastic with three polypropylene-based synthetic materials.
This carefully engineered combination provides several important acoustic advantages:
The Mozart SE Signature employs a sophisticated driver configuration designed to optimize sound dispersion and low-frequency performance.
Rather than operating in parallel across the entire frequency range, the two mid/bass drivers perform complementary roles. The lower driver's output gradually decreases as frequency rises, while the upper driver maintains a broader operating range.
This arrangement optimizes dispersion by using a smaller radiating surface for higher frequencies. At lower frequencies, both drivers contribute fully, providing the increased cone area necessary for powerful, controlled bass reproduction.
The result is impressive low-frequency extension, exceptional dynamics, and remarkable bass authority from an elegantly proportioned loudspeaker.
One of the defining characteristics of the Mozart Series has always been its ability to deliver exceptional performance across a wide variety of listening environments.
The Mozart SE Signature continues this tradition, offering a beautifully balanced presentation in modest-sized rooms while possessing the scale, dynamics, and presence to fill considerably larger spaces.
Despite its relatively compact dimensions, the Mozart SE Signature delivers an expansive soundstage and an engaging musical experience that exceeds expectations.
For Vienna Acoustics, loudspeaker design has always been about more than technical specifications. It is about creating a meaningful connection between the listener and the music.
A longtime Vienna Acoustics owner once shared a sentiment that captures this philosophy:
"You have no idea how much joy your speakers brought to my life."
That appreciation for music remains at the heart of the Mozart SE Signature, combining decades of engineering expertise, European craftsmanship, and a passion for authentic musical reproduction.
