Presenting ELECTA Amator III
2018 marks the 35th Anniversary for Sonus faber. Their anniversary celebration started in May with the launch of the Sonetto Collection - a declaration of “Made in Italy” representing the world of Italian tradition, culture, and craftsmanship.
Today, Sonus faber continues the celebration with their latest creation, the Electa Amator III. A reimagined special edition, the new 2-way loudspeaker is a gem of Italian expertise and craftsmanship: a small but powerful speaker that inherits the characteristics of ELECTA Amator (1987) and ELECTA Amator II (1997), two Sonus faber models that contributed most to the international success of their heritage brand.
Electa Amator III is a 2-way bookshelf loudspeaker system that features key technologies and design solutions used and developed for the latest Sonus faber creations. Through the reflex port, you will catch a glimpse of the solid wood rear acoustic chamber of the one-inch tweeter, which features Sonus faber's Damped Apex Dome technology and "tripod" reminiscent of its predecessor. And one 6.5" mid-woofer specifically developed for this special project utilizes the classic cellulose pulp cone.
The cabinet combines harmoniously - solid walnut wood forms an integral body with the Carrara marble base through a brass insert that illuminates the lines and enhances each material. Hand-applied leather envelopes the rear panel and front baffle, which houses the "Voice of Sonus faber."
Sonus faber identifies ELECTA Amator III as the last step in the evolution of their tradition, a process that first began in 2017 with the introductions of the Homage Tradition Collection, followed by the flagship Aida, and continued into 2018 with the Sonetto collection and Gravis subwoofer series.
