Introducing Sonetto VIII from Sonus faber
Sonetto is a true Sonus faber collection that features all of the iconic elements of the brand: natural sound and materials, the Lute shape, pristine finishes typical of fine Italian craftsmanship, and cutting-edge technology. Manufacturing of the Sonetto Collection is done entirely at the Sonus faber factory in Vicenza, Italy.
Sonetto VIII, the series flagship, is the largest floorstanding speaker of the collection. It features a 3-way design and a clean, industrial aesthetic that is warmed by the elegant proportions of the wood cabinets. The front baffle, an integral part of the cabinet, creates a seamless structure with the curved sides.
This form is accented by gun-metal finished aluminum frames and a soft-leather top. Solid aluminum hardware is used throughout the design to provide solidity and maintain consistency with the rest of the product range. Down-firing reflex ports allow for forgiving room placement and consistent bass output throughout the listening environment.
Paracross Topology on each crossover design provides exceptional contrast, musical detail, and definition. DAD (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter technology currently available in the Sonus faber Reference, Homage, and Olympica lines has also been used in Sonetto VIII.
The mid-ranges and mid-woofers are purpose-built using a special blend of natural fiber and air-dried cellulose giving the speaker its characteristic "Voice of Sonus faber." The woofers have been designed from scratch as well, also featuring the Sonus faber die cast basket, but with a special aluminum alloy diaphragm allowing ultra-fast, tight, and yet deep bass performance.
Sonetto VIII is available in Walnut, Piano Black, and Matte White finishes.
