Introducing Rotel A12

Introducing Rotel A12

Jan 31, 2017

Investing in a quality integrated amplifier provides a number of compelling benefits. Combining both an amplifier and a preamplifier into one chassis can represent a significant cost-savings to your wallet and a clever space-saving solution for your home.

The A12 integrated amplifier is part of Rotel's new 14 Series, replacing the RA12 model. This feature-packed integrated is at once technology-forward and user-friendly with plug and play convenience. Bluetooth connectivity allows wireless music streaming, and the aptX codec means that streaming from portable devices can achieve CD quality resolution. An onboard Wolfson premium DAC further supports your digital music, deftly handling resolutions up to 24-bit/192kHz.

The A12 delivers 60 watts per channel into 8 ohms, giving it sufficient power to drive most loudspeakers. Rotel manufactures its own toroidal transformers in-house to high tolerances, producing a rugged power supply that won't easily distort the music under dynamic conditions or with a difficult speaker load.

The A12 provides ample inputs for both digital and analog sources. In addition to the wireless streaming options via Bluetooth, the A12 features a front panel USB input for Apple iOS devices. A second USB input on the back of the unit can be used to connect the A12 to your computer. In addition, the A12 has 2 optical, 2 coaxial, and 4 line inputs. A dedicated moving magnet (MM) phono input and a 3.5mm headphone jack complete the array. With so many connectivity options, the A12 is an extremely versatile integrated amplifier, indeed! The Rotel A12 is now available for audition in our showroom.
