The Thors Hammer is the first subwoofer that utilizes the new driver and crossover technology developed for the WATCH Dog® to equal and surpass the performance of the XS in a cabinet that won’t overwhelm most rooms. The result is flat bass extension below the limit of human hearing—into the frequency range where the word “visceral” becomes literally descriptive.

The WATCH Controller can be connected in a variety of ways depending on your system needs. It can be used in conjunction with a LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel for a dedicated home theater system, or it can be used in conjunction with a subwoofer to extend the bass in a two-channel music system.

FEATURES

Alexandria XLF joins the Alexandria family, not as a replacement for the Series 2, but as its measurably more ambitious sibling.

While maintaining the recognizable Alexandria form factor, it is physically larger, with 14% greater bass volume. Thicker cabinet walls and added bracing for an even more inert enclosure.

It introduces passive bass management technology – unique in the audio world – a new Convergent Synergy tweeter, a new crossover, and a host of parts all chosen through sedulous listening trials.

The XLF builds on the strength and success of the Alexandria Series 2 yet raises the bar on performance in every meaningful parameter: greater dynamic contrast, better harmonic expression, deeper bass, greater linearity.

The Thor’s Hammer is the lineal descendant of all these subwoofers. But most significantly, it’s the first subwoofer that utilizes the new driver and crossover technology developed for the WATCH Dog® to equal and surpass the performance of the XS in a cabinet that won’t overwhelm most rooms. The result is flat bass extension below the limit of human hearing—into the frequency range where the word “visceral” becomes literally descriptive.

Long-throw woofers allow Thor’s Hammer to achieve its 10hz response in a relatively compact enclosure.

Thor’s Hammer uses two custom-designed 15” dual-spider drivers in a dual-ported cabinet. The resulting distortion measurements are of the order one associates more with the finest quality amplifiers rather than with loudspeakers!

The WATCH Controller can be connected in a variety of ways depending on your system needs. It can be used in conjunction with a LFE (Low Frequency Effects) channel for a dedicated home theater system, or it can be used in conjunction with a subwoofer to extend the bass in a two-channel music system.

In systems where it is desirable to use the WATCH Controller with both the surround processor in a theater system and in the two-channel music system via the preamp (bypassing the surround processor), you can switch between the two sources via the WATCH Controller’s front panel’s Line/Processor switch. This enables you to optimize the Controller for the surround mode and music mode separately.

The WATCH Controller is also capable of accepting either balanced (XLR) or single-ended (RCA) cable connectors from your preamplifier or surround processor. Your choice will depend on the configuration of your particular preamp or surround processor.

Certified Authentic™ Pre-Owned
A pre-owned Wilson speaker that has been authenticated in the field by a Wilson Audio Authorized Dealer. If the Wilson loudspeaker is less than 10 years old, it is eligible for the remainder of the 5-year warranty or a 3 year warranty, whichever is greater. If the Wilson loudspeaker is more than 10 years old, the eligible warranty is 2 years.

Certified Authentic™ Factory Tested
A loudspeaker authenticated and recertified at the Wilson Factory, a process that includes the same factory measurement tests, factory final polishing, and factory frisking as a new speaker is eligible for the remainder of the original 5-year warranty or a 3 year warranty, whichever is greater. For speakers more than 10 years old, the eligible warranty is 2 years.

Certified Authentic™ Never Titled
Wilson Loudspeakers used as dealer demos, or for other reasons have been opened but never sold are eligible for the full 5-year warranty.
