Pro-Ject’s new Debut Carbon Esprit SB DC has been designed to set new standards in its category – perfectly timed with the return of vinyl, the demand for good turntables with all speeds is growing fast.
For cost reasons, carbon is typically used most often in very high-end tonearms. The Debut Carbon Esprit SB DC’s carbon tube tonearm increases stiffness and decreases unwanted resonance. Together with other improvements such as an increase in platter size and weight, rotation is smoother and overall sound quality is greatly improved. The belt drive design offers a low noise motor with effective motor decoupling. For convenience, Debut Carbon Esprit SB DC features electronic speed change and the possibility of playing 78rpm. With a simple exchange of stylus to Ortofon 2M 78 (not included) and a drive belt turnover to increase pulley diameter, the turntable will also accommodate 78s.
